The German Village Society is proud to present the 52nd annual German Village Haus und Garten Tour which is an annual event filled with traditions and surprises, much like the neighborhood it showcases. German Village opens its doors and garden gates for the Society's 52nd annual tour on Sunday, June 26, 2011. Visitors are invited for this day-long celebration of renowned designs, enchanting gardens, and award-winning restorations. Guests may meander through the open sites at their own pace, while stopping to shop at several MarketPlatz stations along the way, that include food and music. German Village retailers and restaurants welcome you to shop and dine in their renowned establishments too. Performances and many more surprises are scheduled throughout the day.

Where: Historic German Village {map} , 233 acres on the National Historical Register in Columbus, Ohio
Parking: Public & bus satellite parking is provided by Grange Insurance at their employee lot in the Brewery District at Sycamore St. and Dubley Alley (two blocks west of High St.), just south of Krogers and north of Brewers Yard. The lot is managed by Parking Company of America, but is free for the day {tour parking map}. A complimentary shuttle will be running a regular route from the parking lot to the German Village Meeting Haus. Surface parking is also available at the southeast corner of City Park Ave. and Thurman thanks to Big Red Rooster.
Why: To provide our 5,000+ tour guests a glimpse of quality historic preservation and innovative design in the home and gardens on tour. We think of the event as a "tour of inspiration" for visitors from any community where civic pride and cohesivesness are objectives for the neighborhood.
